I ordered a set of front Energy Suspension sway bar bushings from suspension.com for $7, and at the same time went ahead and ordered the front lower control arm bushings for $28.

WOW! The one lower control arm bushing is huge. A rubber bushing that size would -surely- have a bunch of slop in it. I'm anxious to install the polyurethane units. It's sure to make a big difference.

Anyone else done this? If so, I'm sure the list (myself included) would appreciate any been there, done that pointers. The job looks fairly straight forward, but I haven't really looked at it that closely yet. I'll probably install the sway bar bushings at the same time. I'm sure they're a piece of cake since they come slotted to slide right over the bar.

Thanks!

I'm also interested in doing this but haven't looked into it at all. Maybe there are directions on how to do this in Chilton's. I need to take a look at it.

HEY!!!!!!!

I was told I need new lower arm bushings for my Maxima, my car handles like crap, totally irresponsive and vague steering.... They quoted me 300$ for the job, (150$ per side)

So are these lower arm bushings supposed to be stronger in any way or what? ANd 28$... is that for 2? wow..

suspension.com.... thanks man, so are these supposed to be more durable?

also, how do u go about in taking out the old bushing? I was told to burn it out...
