i was just wondering if anybody bought these from the group deal or if anyone has them at all i like the blue output on them but i would like to know if they are very bright at all and what they look like on a 4th gen from some different angles. if any1 has pics or an answer for me could u either post pics or respond back. thanx in advance

i like the acura 3.2 blue hid if anyone knows what plug n play kit would give me that type of blue and light output could you please tell me. thanx again

once again, 12000k have minimal output from what i've learned. IMO if you want the most light output you are better off getting 4200k to 5000k HID's. They perform well in rain too, you'll be practically blind with the 12000's.

12000k wouldn't be blue output, its more like ultra-violet. Hids in a 9004 housing is not practical unless you are gonna do a retrofit. If you want the blue light, get some 9004 blue bulbs, buying hids without projectors are a waste of $$$.

Can you please explain in technical terms how a 12,000k is "too much" in terms of light output (lumens) vs 8000k or 4300k? Thanks.

.....are you being serious? or are you being sarcastic.

Edit:
well i meant too much as in 12,000k is too high for you to be able to see anything.
i know my 8,000k does not shine as good as a 6,000k. sometimes i wish i would have ordered the 6,000k or even the 6,500k (if they make them)

Are YOU being serious about stating "12,000k is TOO much?". Since you must be referring to brightness, please explain in technical terms how 12,000k is brighter.

because 12K is almost getting out of the range of visible light

while 4K is right in the middle of the visible light spectrum, which is it gives white light

I have 20,000 Ks in my lights. Having more Ks is always a better light to have.

Looks like you got your daily requirement of sarcasm here on the Org. Realistically, your better off taping two MAG-Lites to the front of your car than going 12k. Those will give you more lumens than your 12k bulbs. If your doing this to a show car then 12k will give you th UV look to make your car stand out. Otherwise, if it's your daily driver then you should stay away. As with everything, the choice is yours but you may regret your purchase so you have been warned.

sorry but if u want really blue u can forget about output. 4100k-5000k is ur best bet for color and output. By the way, 12000 = rice.

WOW, 10,000 is blue! get 8,000k it will give you some blue but also you will be able to see a lot.
Have you checked my cardomain like i told you to? feeling lazy huh? here's the pic of my car from inside my car with the 8,000k hid kit i have.
Here you go, some blue and nice light output. again, you will be able to see more with lower k's but 8,000k does it for me, i can see everything, way better than stock!

All I know is how high the light shines in the background. Tell me that's not into another driver's view. If it's not bad then okay I guess.

Not ******* on you. But I do hate when hid users come at me with 9004 housings and blind the crap out of me. So I high beam away.

well yeah, i would hate that too. I have had people high beam me when i first put them on and i kept lowering them until i stopped getting high beamed at. i had cops staring right at me and never got pulled over for it so i guessing im good now.

i've got 8K in my foglights and love them......small hint of blue but they produce a strong beam of light

the only time you're going to see the color look greeish is in a picture b/c a picture doesn't show the true color of the light......in person all HID produce a white/blue/purple light

the green color in the picture he used does not show the real color. its more of a blue-ish color like the one in his sig pic.

nelly97: if you're thinking about 12,000k, dont do it. its completely useless other than the fact that it looks really cool. waste of money and it doesnt give you sufficient light output for going with hids. youre much better off with 6000k or maybe 7000k if you want good light output. but 4-5000k gives you the best output over any k.

i saw maximus95's car in person. his HID's aren't blinding at all too me. It seriously gives his car a good clean look. His HID kit has a hint of blue with white bascially. It looks GOOD.

any hid you get w/o projectors is not going to give you the blue of the acura's

the color change they experience is due to the cutoff on the projectors, that's why from a distance they're purple and close up they are white

you, by just sticking the bulbs in a reflector housing(non-projection), will have the one color of the bulb at all times and it'll be scattered everywhere

it'll still look cool, but there is more to an acura's lighting system than just bulbs and ballasts

quite possibly then it just has a reflector; which the 03 maxs have as well

either way, those cars have better headlight technology to go along with their Hight Intensity bulbs
