well the maxima housings were never meant for HIDs anyways so its not really that great. thats why people complain about the glare. but it does give you more umph in light output. mainly its all in the design of the reflectors/projectors that give you the distinct cutoff and light concentration. if you want that, then get a projector retrofit kit.

Don't go with anything above 6000K. Waste of money,And whatever you do
DO NOT buy McCullah. Dey are the worst. Go search the net for their many horror stories. If you must go with a kit go with 4000K - 6000K with a harness to run power straight from the battery. But with a little more money you can get some projectors with OEM bulbs an ballast which is way more dependable. You'll then get the most lumens while achieving that blue/purple flicker you want. Stickin a kit in will never achieve what you want because unlike the Acura your reflector base housing was never designed to HID specifications. Trust me I learned the hard way. Do a retro. That's what I'm doing next. 8000K SUCKS in bad weather and you lose your high beams. Waste of time and money!!!
