Tell him it does 0 to 60 in 6.6 seconds with crappy magazine drivers, and that if he seriously thinks his stock 92 Accord can beat that, he needs to let you try whatever the hell he's smoking.
you have a 5-speed, right?
The only way to avoid a race is to let him drive your car.

dude....even with your auto, you can smoke that accord. its 6.6 for the manual maxima, and 7.2...7.4 ish for the the auto max (correct me if im wrong). but yeah...those damn accord people...always hatin on the maxima.....
About the weights:
1992 Accord weight is listed at 2860 lbs
1997 Maxima GLE would be 3100 lbs
4th gens can be as light as 2885 lbs in stock form. But yours is a 97-99 (heavier) and it's a GLE (heavier) auto (heavier). So that guy's Accord would be a whopping 25 pounds lighter than a '95 GXE 5-speed, which he could easily confuse with your car. Big deal. Our cars are actually very light for big@ss family sedans...
Accord= 140 hp 137 tq
Maxima= 190 hp 205 tq
Weight difference won't do much.

oh yeah might as well add this here too...I used to have a 92 nissan stanza...5sp. That car had 138hp and 148 torque. I took accords in that, integras, and preludes...of course not the faster ones but hey, it was a stanza...that little thing was pretty quick. I surprised a lotta people. you have a maxima, so i dont think it would be much of a challenge for you.
maybe he is playing mind games on you and knows you will trash him terribly in your maxima ? how could someone be so diluted ? lol ! take this to a drag strip, have someone record it, then go home and edit the video, then invite him over and teach him about the torque of the VQ because thats whats going to happen. Its called the torque drop and its going to happen around the 330 mark ! rofl !
if i can take a gti vr6 MT by a car length@50mph, in my 99 auto gle playing around with [bad KS, possible bad coils, intake, 200lb. passenger] then u can take a hoopty accord. try to save your gas, but if he really gets on your nerves, put $5 on the race so you can fill it back up

Yes, stock for stock and with the same driver in both the Maxima will "dust" the accord, as you guys put it.
However, provided your friend knows how to launch and drive well, you might have trouble. Now some of you will say "that's true with any car though". Yes, but specifically with the accord. I owned a 92 Accord LX before my 4th gen 1999 SE. Both cars 5-spd. Let me tell you, if your friend is a better driver, then you might be in for a big surprise. You'll see.

Wow that kid is something good to think a 92 accord could beat a 4th gen max. hahahaha SMoke him for like 500 bucks bro easy money. the only way he can win is with a turbo. even an engine swap doesnt cut it, i smoke gs-r or Si or type R they all get dropped. so an old beaty accord no vtec u should murder . its like racing a focus or a spectra it isnt even fun. Driver does count a lot but u can be the best driver in the world in a spectra against a bad driver in an evo and their is no challenge on a straight away. So dont even say driver That is a non issue. SMOKE HIS A$$

I dont know what youre smoking, but its good...
No NA accord <2003 can "surprise" a fully functioning maxima.
since he is auto, all he needs to do is press the gas pedal...
I've raced a friend exactly like this one, he had a 1991 Accord EX, 5spd, custom exhaust and intake....thought he could take me....had him by around 3 cars by 65.....by 80 i could barely see him in my rearview mirror...
