i think the bushings made a huge difference...

the shifter is firm and solid...if you want a smoother shifter then dont put them in.

You seriously need to install the bushings. The stock ones are ****. The one in the engine bay was broken on my car and now the shifts are nice and solid, no extra play when putting into gear. You really should just take a close look at how shi!tty the oem bushing are and that should make up you mind.

now you need the cough JWT cough clutch, whicih though i hate JWT and the instiution of them in it's entirety, have the only clutch available for us.

It freakin rocks and i love how fast and aggressively i can shift.

If you can put in a STS then you can put in the bushings. It's not that hard. If you are going to keep the car you'll have to do them eventually so do it now. Only wusses back away from a simple and cheap mod.

Haven't been in the forum for quite a while, and today, after a quick look, STS for 2k2!!!!! Finally!
I read a bit, and well everyone say it works, so cool. I'm gonna get it, but from who?
I'm gonna assume that the STS on the market are all 2 pieces that will keep the shifter in stock pos? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm gonna get it, but from who? I'm in Canada, so who will ship to Canada? Can someone tell me or guide me to all the sites that sells the STS?
I'm sorry if it's posted and I missed it.

There's just so much info, that it can get confusing...........

Thanks in Advance!

From the 6th Gen discussion table:

The Gen 2 will fit all Altima, Maxima, and Sentra models 2002 to 2005+. Designed to fit the Maxima first.

Thanks for the little promo there. Here you guys go, we're doing a GB on them right now:
Here's our product page:
http://www.activetuning.com/product...P-02STS2-ALSNMX
We are doing the GB on them for $130 SHIPPED for a very limited time. When checking out, simply enter the coupon code "sts2gb"
For more info, check out our NissanClub.com post:
http://www.nissanclub.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=187228
It is an awesome piece, and very well engineered. We are very excited to offer it to you guys.
They are in stock now and ready to ship!

AND:

Ok guys good news! We will be able to sell the 2nd part only for those of you with the other STS installed. It will most likely be about 3-4 weeks before we have them in stock, as we have to make a seperate batch to accomodate you folks. As for pricing, I have nothing finalized at this time, but I do promise that it will be very reasonable.

For those of you that would like the 2nd piece, please make sure and e-mail me at dave@activetuning.com and have me add you to my list of people. This will give me a better idea of the numbers we need, plus it will keep you in the loop of what's going on on our end.

If anybody has any questions, ask away.

Sorry about that. I forgot from my previous post. You can still email Dave or go to their site, activetuning.com for info. I just wanted to put out the information about the second gen sts, ability to buy the 2nd piece and about the $130 shipped price. Thanks for the notice about the link not working. Ed.
