ok here is the story short and simple....

1Eibach + stock struts= Garbage
2Tein Stech + KYB GR2= Garbage...probably worse then number 1
3. Tein Stech with Illuminas= good for 3 months now GARBAGE...

i have had it up to here....

this will be my last setup...im thinking with H&R and illuminas...new offcoarse....anyone with this setup please tell me how the ride is daily....i cant stand another drop like the tein stech....worse ride ever.

Now when you say garbage, do you mean the struts are shot or your kidneys don't like you for it?

The Gr2s are basically stock replacements. v so your # 1 = 2

I'd o with progress personally, as the S-techs are too low in the front fro my taste.

You should know by reading these forums that the stock struts should never be used with a sport lowering spring.

Low drop, progressive spring, very firm strut and I bet the installer didn't trim your bump stops or use a shorter one to get you some suspension travel back. Your probably riding close to if not on the bump stops so basicaly yea your gonna feel every crack & bump in the road because the suspension can't absorb them.

Again, very low drop, ride quality is never good on a spring that takes away that much suspension travel no matter what strut you couple them with. If your bump stops are not trimmed you still have less then 1 inch of suspension travel up front and probably next to nothing in the rear.

I don't think your struts are blown, they aren't even working that hard because of the lack of suspension movement.

Put a spring in that gives you some suspension travel, install it correctly with trimmed bump stops or use the KYB dust boots which have smaller bump stops built into the boot. Your suspension needs to have enough travel to work correctly. Low drops never ride or handle very good, I consider them to be all show and no go. A proper suspension set up absorbes bumps and maintains ride control.

sounds like typical symptom of lowering springs; especially S-Techs. Detroit got crazy roads and my blues are still holding up just fine w/ S-Techs.

sounds like someone didn't trim his bumpstops...and with that much lowering, they're constantly hitting.....

i don't think you know what you're talking about. at high speeds i noticed tremendous increase in handling after i dropped my car with s-tech/br-2's. driving 80mph you don't need that much suspension travel, as it will shift center of gravity which in turn will affect handling. the only thing you'll lose when doing a drop is ride comfort.

I think what he means is that you're not turning 90 degree corners at 80mph....at slower speed handling, you DO need more suspension travel so all 4 wheels actually stay on the pavement......

just because your springs are lower/stiffer does not mean you handling is automatically better. There are other factors involved with handling.
