My rear windows don't go all the way down. Is there a switch somewhere that would do this or is this something only machanic can do?
BTW i have power windows. Can someone help?

With the structure of the door being curved, there is no way you can make you window go all the way down, because the glass has no place to go.

Modification by Ryan Fobart:

Tools Required:

Jack Stands
2 Ton Jack
Lugnut Removal Tool
Saftey Goggles
Chain Saw
Apron
Band Aids
6 pack of Beer.

1) Jack the Car up in the Rear
2) Place Jack Stands under Car (check to make sure the car is secure and will not fall)
3) Remove Rear wheels
4) Put on Saftey Goggles for extreme saftey
5) Start up the chain Saw
6) climb under car by rear wheel well
7) Use chain saw to cut large hole under the rear wheel well
8) The Rear window will fall out
9) Repeat on Opposite Side of car
10) Grab the 6 pack of beer and drink while you wonder what the f*ck you just did..

Incase you were wondering due to the wheel well the rear windows will not go all the way down..

I, too, wish the rear door windows could roll all the way down. It's a physical impossibility. The doors aren't long enough.

Measure the height of your rear door window. It is 17 inches. Now open the rear door and visualize where the trailing edge of the glass would be if the window was rolled down 17 inches. It's not inside the door!

Go to a junkyard, buy a new set of front doors and install them on the rear. Might need duct tape to help close the gap. BTW, a 12 pack would be in order

Almost all manufacturers prevent the rear windows from rolling down completely because

a) it won't fit in the door

b) they don't want dogs and cats jumping out of moving vehicles

c) they don't want children jumping out of moving vehicles

d) to curse me and my black Maxima with charcoal interior on hot days

O boo hoo

I drive a black max in 110 degree heat I only wish for 90. Consider yourself in the cool zone at 90.

I feel your pain. Same setup here. And no shade to park in at work either so it swelters for me.

I have these buttons right above my radio that I push, and by some magic it makes the car cooler. Does anyone else have those?

I have a Klingon cloaking device. I use it when the cops come.

I always wondered what those were but I was scared to use them. I live in Houston and those little buttons would be a big help. LOL
