go for it man ;p i have tripple tone air horns in my car and everyone loves them. the stock sound is just crappy. everyone has there own taste and these things saved my life one time, *quick story, pickup went into fast lane as i was about to smash in the back of him (he wasn't looking) held down that horn as i braked like crazy and he moved on over* anyway i don't have hella's but mine look exactly like the ones in the link but i got mine at autozone but they're acctually made in italy.

Now i was afraid that they'd be too loud all the time, but as long as you keep the hoses and horns close to the compressor you won't get any lag when hitting the horn and you can keep it low tone for beeps just to say hello ;p

oh yeah and the were maybe 10 bucks cheaper at autozone, the quality isn't anything less. i'd go and check them out first.

I would see if you can find a .wav file of how the horns sound. I have the same thing and what they fail to mention is what while it's pushing +130dB, the FREQUENCY is of a much higher pitch than that of your OEM horn. While they are quite loud, some people hear the horn and expect to see a boatload of little people with red floppy shoes coming out of the car.

Personally, I think I am going to remove mine and go with a 350z horn or do some serious modification of the ones I have, since I, my girlfriend, bother, his g/f, my parents, and friends all think that while it is loud, it sounds uber-

I have a friend who got a double tone air horn if that's what it's called, made by the same people. his is much higher pitched since the third horn i have gives the deeper sound. His isn't bad, but i like the deeper sound better, not as annoying.

I've had a 2 tone on my previous car... didnt like the sound output much... maybe cuz the hose length between the two was too much??? Oh well i will take ur advice and ask the installer to keep it short..

I have a set of the dual tones in my '02. I got them b/c I almost got run over on the highway by a semi that didn't see me one day, and my stock horns never even registered w/ this truck. The ones I have are Fiaam, and they blare! Very loud, very piercing, and if you need someone's attention, you'll get it with them. They don't sound wrong for the car, or rice, and definitely not Dukes of Hazzard.

Get 'em.
