what should i sell my car for?

hi. i have a 99 maxima SEL. it is red. it is more of the stripped down version of the SEL. it is an automatic, has a sunroof, spoiler, and titanium badges and wheels. it doesn't have ABS or automatic climate control. it is pretty much stock except for front clears. it has around 71k miles on it, and it is in excellent condition. the paint still looks brand new, no problems whatsoever with the car. it is always parked in the garage at home and at work. i am in dallas, texas. what do you guys think i should ask for this car? how much do you think a dealer would give me if i did a trade in? i am wanting to get into a g35.

I'd ask the maximum amount that a buyer would be willing to pay.

Well then, how are you going to figure out what a similar car goes for in your area? Because in reality, that is your market. So asking people spread all across the country isn't that helpful either.

So I guess my subtle hint goes "whoosh"

Red is rare and you may be able to command a higher price if someone is looking for that color. But odds are they are also looking for a 5 speed. Get book value and advertise the car for a bit over that and see where it gets you.

G35 seems like a nice jump up. Good luck.
