I still don't understand why nobody has attempted to fill in their trunk space where the licesne plate is located and converated to a 4th gen looking tail, it looks increible in the photoshop i have of it, I encourage some of you to think about it, if you need the picture let me know.

Not bad, but would look better with the hamburger emblem removed and the keyhole painted black.

neons do not say neon on the trunk piece, second of all it doesn't say neon, it say maxima, third of all the 4th gens all looked like that, so whtas the problem, why feature a generic license plate in the middle of such a visable part of the car? I just don't get it, from 89 nissan has featured the word "maxima" in the trunk piece, its a damn shame they got away from that....

pretty hot, does smoothen it out a lot. But the plate would be a problem, someone would wind up knockin that off.

i dont think any of us here that dont like it said anything about it saying neon on the back first of all...anyway i just dont like how it looks...the back just reminds me of a neon..it looked good on all the previous maximas but IMO it just doesnt look right on a 5th gen...no need to get all defensive about it.

I always figured the bumper was a bumper, not a place for the license plate.
I don't like having empty rear lid. The 4th gen looks fine with it but I never liked my 3rd gens tail.
Anyone ntoice where higher-end (BMW, Benz, Lexus, Acura) cars put their plates?

Ok, the 4th gen and the previous gen TL. I was referring to the current TL, which is a gorgeous car.

I like it, but I don't like the clear lights with it. It looks ricey like that. The 01 smoked housings would probably look good...

I don't like that picture but it might not be because of the whole trunk thing, it might be because those 2002 chrome tails are screaming for attention... it might be better with some dark tails.... but yeah, I have to say that the picture does kinda bring images of a Neon to mind...

Remember, the 4th gen also has their taillights extended to their trunk, So 1 piece of the tail is on the trunk, thats why it looks better then 5th gen with the trunk flushed look. 5th gen has the circular lights so with the trunk flush it looks odd. I think 5th gen is fine the way it is, IMO.

I believe he's talking about the word made into the plastic lens between the tail lights instead of an emblem that sticks on.

*Edit* Like this.

I know it doesn't say neon and I know it is a maxima but from the looks of it the whole back side looks like a neon.
