installed JWT ECU today...

The max is back in action with a new tranny and front axle! That means I finally got a chance to install my JWT ECU ($270 off ebay). This is one of my favorite mods yet. The greatest increase seems to be in the high end, but you can feel the difference all through the power band. Throttle response seemed to improve as well. I completely raped my friend in his Jetta 1.8T, but I could do that before anyway.... just not as badly

I highly reccomend you go out and get one...

I really don't like you and how cheap you got that ECU....

I thought the ECU was mainly for low end and mid range mod. It could be mainly for MEVI folks though.

I have been trying to get one for a long time now since I have the MEVI. Trying to get a TS with extended redline and that has yet to come out, so now I am trying to get a JWT but who know when that will get back to me.

I ended up paying ~750 dolalrs with core and re-program, and had to wait 12 weeks. I noticed it more in the midrange( 4k+) personally. Congrats

Geez $260 for a JWT ECU is insanely cheap I would have bought it even though I don't need it.

I wouldnt have trusted it on ebay...Anyone can buy a stock ECU and say its JWT modified and sell it for that price or even more. with more people interested it would have gone for 400 at least

I would rather pay the money and have the security that its actually modified and not a fake

If you feel comfortable doing it, I would open up the ECU to see if there is a daughter board in it. I would be a little skeptical of such a cheap JWT ECU on ebay, but it is most likely the real thing.

I was skeptical too... until I put it in. It is most definitely the real thing.

And after that pain in the *** install, I'd rather not take it out. I'm not what you would call a limber fellow, and there's something about being 6'2" 250lbs upside-down under the dashboard that just isn't quite comfortable to me
