I just got done installing PBR ultimates on my car and I was wondering what bedding procedures should I follow?

_Gradual break-in
_Instant break-in procedure, similar to something on this site: Bedding

I've heard so many debates about which is better, and I want you guyz to give me your opinion.

I did the instant break in, havnt had problems since... No squeeks.

 

does the braking power increase after the bedding?

Good luck on the Ultimates. I put on a pair last year in April/May time frame with slotted/dimpled brembo rotors and I am buying a new set of rotors. These things eat rotors. Also they brake dust is pretty bad too IMO. I did follow the MFG's break-in instructions to the T. I drive pretty spirited.

Also my friend is noticing the same thing with his Metal Masters. Nothing but stock pads for me any more.

If you want to see pix I will post them on my Cardomain site in about a week or two. I can take them earlier with my crappy digital and email them around, but you have to PM me for that.

 

I baby my max so wear should not be a problem, but I wish I had known more before buying them. I've heard so many good things about them so I think I'll see how they work out. You can post the pics at your convenience, no hurry. Just let me know about the link.

P.S. - I've decided to go with the gradual break-in procedure, 400 freaking miles!

I couldn't adhere to it because I didn't have enough road in a residential area to do this
