Megan or OBX Cat-back?
question for the haters.....If you say "get something better", can you explain why these two are not worth buying? I'd really like know why you say get something better. Just to spend more money?...or is it really worth the extra money for the "better"? I've had my OBX cat-back for over three years and it's still in great shape. It sounds good, looks good, and cost less than half of what the GReddy SP was at the time of purchase.
99maxk2...don't get opinions. get facts! Like I said, I've had my OBX for over three years and it has stood up great to New England weather. It sounds good, and looks good too. The only downfall was that the b-pipe did hang low, so I had an exhaust shop reweld the flange for $60. (probably the same problem JLiusifer had) I drove it around for over a year before I did that though. I only did it to make it look perfect and I had the money to spend at the time.
Good luck with what ever you decide.

99maxk2......ive had my obx catback for about 6 months now and i have no problems what so ever.....erty is right bout the bpipe hanging alittle low but compare it to the greddys catback....those are almost double the price....obviously those r goin to be better made but since catbacks only give 5hp tops i thnik it all depends on how much u want to spend....i got mine for $320 during the time....if u dont mind alittle fitment issues then i say u should definatly jump on the OBX.....a lot of my buddies think it sounds awesome....greddy is nice but u do pay alot more....so its all up to u....if $ isnt an issue then get the greddy....if so then get OBX....
Hey, thanks for the replies. I was def. lookin into getting the GReddy, but then i realized, why spend so much when i can get something a lil cheaper and use the extra money for I.C.E. Im figuring you are just paying for the name when you go with GReddy.
- Anyway, what is the "fitment issues" you all talk about, like can you elaborate? Is it something that needs to be done at a shop or can i install it at my house (I don't have air tools).
-For those that said "get something better," have you tried the OBX or Megan Racing cat-backs, or are you just assuming because they aren't popular that they aren't good?
JLiusifer--- Thanks for the link, lol, but i found your site and saw your exhaust and that is what made me interested in the OBX, haha, thanks tho.
-Lastly, I heard that the OBX is loud in the first few weeks, but gets quiter after installed for like 2 weeks. How quiet does it exactly get? And how is the exhaust tone compared to GReddy, because i want something with more of a punch than GReddy, a lil bit louder, but still deep.

Use the other money to get a y-pipe
then you'll have the tone you want and a good performance exhaust. The fitment issue is the b-pipe thing I mentioned above.
You can install it fine, but it will probably hang low. What some org members, including myself, have done is use hose clamps to tighten the rubber mounts that hold the muffler up. this helps raise the exhaust.
