Body kit painting
Body kit painting
I was thinking about putting a body kit on my car (like the stillen one) but since it is a '96 the factory paint has to have faded a little it's I forget called exactly what but it's the deep green color for that year. So I was wondering how many of you with 96's or around there actually had the whole car repainted or just the body kit? If just the body kit how did it turn out? And if just the body kit what did it run you?
I got a quote for just regular factory paint (no color change/ uncut) for $1000, body kit should just be about $200. Check around if you got the cash just get the whole thing repainted together with the kit already on.

I think we have the same colour, and I just got my kit installed and painted, but I did do a polish and the paint restored very well.

Zerocool19, you're PM box is full:
I live in TN, there is a guy that will paint it for $1000, I don't think that's body work but it is a good price, I wish I had the money. Uncut means just paint and clear coat, no show car finish just regular paint. Alot of times the paint quote is for the car cut and buffed to a showcar gloss, redoing door jambs and everything, then for color change its even more money. I've gotten quotes for that type of stuff for about $3000. Plus this guy does it on the side, I'm sure you can find someoe that will do it on the side. If they really paint, they have access to a paint booth and they will know what they are doing.
