few questions for you guys

I'm not a big fan of TurtleWax products. I've never used that particular one, but as far as waxes go (not sealants, which are different - i.e. synthetic and longer lasting) I prefer Meguiar's Hi-Tech Yellow.

For your engine bay, most people will probably say it is fine but to just lay a towel or something over the WAI.

I personally will never use a hose directly on my engine bay with more than a fine mist. You don't want to force water into any area that it doesn't belong.

If you are going to use a hose anyway, cover your alternator and cone filter with a plastic bag, and put a rubber band around it to seal it tight.
Don't do this on a hot engine.

Top-Notch products are typically not the ones that WalMart sells.
Turtle Wax is one of the cheapest waxes you can buy. I haven't tried the new stuff you're talking about, but the best things for detailing are only available online.
If these great products were available in stores, people wouldn't buy them because they would cost twice as much or more as the Turtle Wax or Meguiars Cleaner Wax. I have wax that costs $35.00 for 8oz. Tell me how many people would buy that jar when there is a $4.00 16oz bottle of Turtle Wax next to it.

Let's see...$35.00 for 8oz.
$4.00 for 16oz.
So my $35.00 (approximately $40 after shipping) jar costs roughly 20 TIMES as much per ounce as the Turtle Wax. See my point?

Stuff like Meguiars NXT isn't too bad for a store-bought product. I've gotten good results from it.
But the BEST results come from the BEST products, which usually happen to be pretty expensive too. I recently bought two spare jars of that $35.00 wax since it was discontinued. But at least I know I'll have plenty to last me at least 2 years, even when I use on customer cars (only special customer cars).

If you are balking at a $35 wax, you would really at one of the waxes in my collection. Pinnacle Souveran is $70.

Plus, I have seen some Zymol waxes that are $150, $444, and $1100.

Plus, I would recommend going to a Harley store and pick up some S100 wax and the paint cleanser.

S100 at $15 is one of the best deals ther is. It's a $70 shine.

I have both the S100 and the $70 Souveran. The shine is very close between the two. There is a law of diminishing returns with the higher priced waxes. The higher priced waxes DO look better, but the $100 wax won't be twice as good as the $50 one.

Definitely look into getting a jar of S100 from a Harley dealer. It is great stuff.
My $35.00 wax is Pinnacle Paste Glaz, which is IMO the equivalent of Souveran, only for light colors instead of darks.
Paste Glaz is discontinued and unavailable now though, which is why I'm glad I have 3 full jars of it!

if you got the cash buy Zaino www.zainobros.com, especially if you have a dark car.

If you are short on flow buy some Meguiars NXT

Are you talking about the coloured Turtle Wax? I used a bit of that a long time ago. It makes a horrible mess out of all the applicators and buffing cloths you use. Not to mention your fingers. I had to wear latex gloves when I used it. It makes scratches on a black car look better. But it doesn't last very long at all.

I'd step up to a good quality wax instead. Perhaps a 2 or 3 step system if your finish needs some scratch removal.

procedure: scoop a palm sized amount and allow the heat from your hand to melt it. Apply in straight lines back and forth, allow to haze then remove with a microfiber towel. Mist vehicle with water and dry with a chamois to even out coating.

Also, wrap the sensors and other electrical components in plastic wrap.
