J30 Interior Swap?

Is it possible to swap the interior of a J30 into our Maxes? Everything looks like it should work.

Thanks!

The backseats swap fine, so i'm guessing thats a yes, unless the brackets for the front seats are different.

Where did you see J30 back seats in a Max?

Is there an Infinity J30 I know I've seen I30's and I think I've seen J20's and G20's but I dont think Ive ever seen a J30 and what is the deifference between the interior of a J30 and an I30 most people swap out the interior to get the I30 backseats with the headrests do these come with the J30

I have never seen a J20, it's J30, I used to have a '93. J30 has smaller interior than an I30 and my '93 didn't have headrests in the back either. Infiniti (Nissan) dumped the J30 after the '97 model year in favor of higher production on the better selling I30. I used to always wonder though, after I got rid of my J30, would it be possible to retro fit the projectors from a J30 to a max? Fairly similar size and shape, except the J30 housing is not as 'tall' as the maxs.

Aren't the J30's the Altima's luxurious brothers?

Negative, they both had similar rounded body styling in the mid -'90s, but beyond that they were completely different. The altima was a mere inline 4 and the J30 had a trusty old 3.0 V6. The J30 was Infiniti's first mid-level entry and within 4 years it was pushed out by the I30.

Ok, I might have been a little confused myself. I am talking about the newer model of the I/J30. This is the model with the foot operated parking brake. There are about 4 of them in the junk yard with black leather interior. Just curious if anyone has tried to swap out the front and back seats?

Thanks again!

The J30 is, I think, based on the 300ZX. I know it is a RWD VG30DE. I doubt the front seats will work without using some kind of hybrid or custom brackets. I seriously doubt the rear seats will work at all without something crazy.

The Maxima is more or less based on an I30 (Cefiro in Japan). It is a FWD A32 chassis with a VQ30DE. This interior is swapped in with no problem, that is if the car is a 96-99 I30 and not the 00-01 I30 or 02-04 I35.
