My oil pressure light is flickering at idle when the car is hot. I also get some engine noise on hot starts for a couple of seconds (sounds like noisy lifters) This all started right after changed my water pump in my max. The timing chain tensioner had to come out to get the water pump in. I also changed the oil and filter at the same time. I'm wondering can a cheap oil filter(Fram) cause problems like this? Or do I have a problem with the tensioner? Funny thing is I have no noise on cold startup and no chain noise at all. I bought a new tensioner but chose not to put it in because it was about a 1/4" longer than the old one and I tried for about 1hr to get it in. The old one didn't look bad and was working fine before so I put it back in.
