what are you replacing? if it's just the cables, then you didn't need to remove any of that. i watched the tech put cables on my car and everything was done from underneath the car.

Are you talking about the plastic cover part or the whole thing including the metal part?

Just the plastic cover part, I want to take it off without breaking it because I might still need it.

sit your seat up straight, plant your feet on the floor behind the pedals, grab it with both hands and push towards the radio....hard, you may want to stick a small pillow in front of the radio so when it does come off you dont put it into the dash.

a hair dryer or heat gun might make it easier.....heat the handle up so the glue under it kinda melt and looses alittle grip. alos try putting a flat head between the metal part and the back of the e-breake and easily pry it off.

A hammer and a punch. Put the ebrake down. Place the punch on the back end of the ebrake handle. Hit the punch with the hammer and drive the ebrake cover towards the front of the car. If you don't have a punch, a block of wood will work too.
