MAXIMA recalls (ALL?)

One day I searched the recall lists using the terriblese interface. I tried to cut and paste all that I found...

1. My question is for example the tranny slip problem -recall. If a certain Maxima trnny today starts slipping, contains serial number in the recall, is Nissan going to repair that tranny? [sorry, no, I did not comb the stickies. Hit me if the answer is t here]

2. Second question for me wannabe outsIder: What are the solutions how Nissan corrects the problems (like tranny slip), where are the answers to be found...

On the recall list I found are:
- AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SLIPPING
- THE VTC (VARIABLE TIMING CONTROL) INTAKE CAMSHAFT SPROCKETS
- SEAT BELTS (-91) (the Great Rust issue)
- SEAT BELTS (-92)
- AIR BAGS (2x)
- Maxima 1997 Alternator fire
- GLASS-PANELED ROOF, 2004 NISSAN MAXIMA, SUDDENLY SHATTER

Im not sure about all of thoes recalls. I think some of them might be related to TSB or just cases that nhtsa opened up to do more reserch on and the closed the case without making a recall.

At minimum, the tranny (as all) should have info somewhwere of the proposed corrective actions. Where could that info be sitting?

I suppose VE/VTC owners woul be interested of Nissan liabilities...

The VTC issues are Technical Service Bulletins (TSB). Different than a RECALL. I WISH it was a recall. Trust me

how'd things end up for you? I'm still driving the daewoo. It was supposed to be done this week, but the dealership just called and said that it won't be done until the end of next week now....... At least it is getting fixed.

Yes I will, easy to believe... Oh but the terribleses NTHSA pages give that list on recalls; spent at least half hour milking that list because of that user inteface always zeros itself... Looks like assembler programmer job from 70's lol.

Still would like to know the NIssan nuances for sliptranny (mine is ok now).

The 3rd gen airbag recall I am aware of is for the 92 model year. My car has a Nissan metal plate affixed on the firewall (driver's side) listing that the car was repaired in compliance with the "Voluntary Airbag Component Recall", in April of 1994.
