New Oil Filter Type Coming Out?

I am not sure if this is a new type of oil filter coming out or not. Fram is coming out soon with a filter that contains a timed release additive gel that contains antioxidants and a compound that maintains TBN. It is supposed to slowly release these compounds into the oil as it the oil breaks down thereby maintaining its protection. Its like that teflon crap but it actually works. Yes I am aware Fram is crap, but other companies might take the que and make similar stuff. They are marketing it as their high mileage solution 75k+. Somebody wanna look into this and see if this stuff actually works?

bgates,

There is a product like that available via the internet. It is called LubeControl and it works great. It works especially well with Amsoil and Mobil 1 in extended drains to control oxidation (thickening) and wear metals.

This product was recommended to me by a gentleman that interprets used oil analysis as an extra service to Blackstone Labs.

I would stay away from anything that Fram makes since they are a marketing powerhouse first and foremost.
