Can you plug low profile tires?

title says it... got a nail and im just wondering what to do...

yes you are able to. Aslong as the opening is not bigger then 1/4 inch and not on the side wall.

Go to a repair shop and have them patch it! Plugs are bad, voiding warrenties and making seperations. Sometimes when you get a nail air can get into the innerlining of the tire, If you plug a tire it traps that air giving likely chances of a sepo. But if you dismount the tire and patch it from the inside any exess air in the liner can escape out the original nail hole. Plugs work great for emergencies though but I would always reccomend going to a tire shop and getting the plug pulled and patch it correctly. Some shops may tell you they can't repair the tire after it's been plugged but find one that will because that is B.S.

Patching would be much better then plugging.

Plugging the tire works great also. Within the last year, I have plugged up over 15 tires at work and never had any problems with any of those tires.

LOw profile and unidirectional tires shouldn't be plugged... only patch and put it in the rear NEVER in the front.....
