Maxima Stalled on Highway

The other day I was on the highway doing about 70-75 when i went to put my coffee back in the cup holder and hit the shifter by accident popping it into nuetral. This caused the tach to just drop and the car died while i was coasting at 70. All my power brakes and steering died with it. I had to start the car up in nuetral and pop it back into drive. I tried this thing over and over again and most the time it died on the highway. Any ideas on why it does this, it has never done this before. Thanks for any help.

maybe your car didn't like the coffee you were drinking....j/k

It could be your MAF going bad....do you have the SES on.. If so go to Autozone so they can tell you the CODE.....

I would almost bet my life that it was your MAF sensor. Mine died at about 75 MPH in the middle of a quick passing run between 3rd and fourth gear. Had to drive home, remove my stillen intake (maf killer happened twice) and limp the car to the dealer. Car wouldn't go over 2k rpm
