Some recent pics with new paint and RX7 wheels

Basically a guy ran a stop sign and crashed into my car. Then he started lying to his insurance company denying responsibility. Fortunately the insurance agent saw through her insuree and accepted liability. Anyway the paint on the front end is flawless, smooth as glass...much better than the stock chipped paint I had. Lip still isnt painted bc I scrape way too much, lets just say I found a use for all the free sample armor-all wipes I got at the autoshow a couple years ago.

gfs new B14 SE-R...pretty damn fun to drive. Already did intake, graphite painted wheels and black housing headlights after one week. Suspension is next.

i love how your max looks. it is a sleeper on the road. but i think you need tint and some wheel spacers on the back. overall clean max.
my friend used to have a se-r. it was that ugly green color but that sucker was freaking fast for what it was.

Hey, that's fantastic!

I can swap wheels between my FD and my Maxima if I ever need to.

You're missing the centercaps though - is that intentional?

How'd you take that one picture with the dog in the back seat? It's a cool angle.

Just FYI: since the maxima is much heavier than an RX-7, this is extra important:
http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.ph...inforced+wheel

If you don't have the reinforced wheel, make sure to inspect them for cracks whenever you remove them for any reason. The plus side is that RX-7 wheels are much lighter than the Maxima alloys.

I also checked on the offset and overall diameter: the RX-7 wheels are only 1.76% smaller than the stock Maxima wheel, and the offset is 50mm instead of 45mm. Very good fit.

It actually does have 5mm spacers on the back...its close to being flush but has narrow oem size 225s on 8 inch wide wheels. The se-r's power really suprised me...only that and the protege put a smile on my face after all the small cars we test drove.

center caps dont fit on the front...and it has the mazda logo

thanks for the headsup on the wheels...I heard about the problem before but didnt know how to tell the difference between the two wheels ill definetly check next time i have the wheels off the car which ones I have..

Had a friend mount the tripod to the side of the car and hold it there to make sure the camera didnt fall while turning in a dimly lit parking lot...shutter open for about 10 seconds.

Yep only 15 lbs too! If you look around you can find a good deal...I pretty much swapped my stock wheels with tires for these 16x8s also with tires.

Nice clean ride

BTW, our stock wheels are 35mm offset. Someone said the RX7's were 50. Is that true? Any strut rubbing or probs?

I had RX-7 wheels on my Maxima too. With the yokahama Ao32r's. It was sooo sweet, I loved it. Then my boyfriend took back his rimms cuz he got his rotory motor fixed on his car. Bummer, but it was fun while it lasted. SO im back to stock now. Great Pics too!

Nice, Justin. The SE-R is cool, but is what is it, a 98? I thought she did have enough money? Well it doesnt matter since she got it! My suggestion to you, buy JWT S3 cams and a header. ***** to the wall. Very easy bolt ons and very good gains.

So all you have on the front lip is armorall? I have a kit now but havnt installed it since it is not painted. I dont want to be a ricer. From the pix it looks quite nice. Im am so on your heals,

i need some one to run into me!

You definetly won't be disappointed...but then again the A80 is a great camera too, just the older brother of the 95.

Yep +50...no clearance issues on the front, the rear gets kinda close tho even with the 5mm spacers. But I havent had any rubbing at all..

Thanks Jon...yep 98 SE-R...she didnt have enough money for a P11 G20. haha ill ask her about those mods although shes not much interested in making it much faster, leaning more toward suspension...but then they have those suspension travel issues .

My gfs bro actually saw my car and without me mentioning anything he asked if i got my lip painted...i think that says a lot. My sig pic has the lip with nothing on it and its really noticeable that its not painted...but with the armorall it blends in more with the body color.
