Cattman product owners....step in!

So I'm just about ready to get my exhaust done and I've pretty much decided on a Cattman catback system....there are only a few problems/ questions I have. Don't worry, I'm not asking about sound or performance...

-How good is Cattman's build quality?? The pictures of the exhaust on their website make it look like it was almost thrown together pretty quickly...Does anyone have pics of the exhaust on their car, or can state otherwise?

-Should I buy directly from Cattman? I found another vendor (sportcompactcaronly.com) that offers the exhaust with a $30 discount, plus the shipping is cheaper. Are there any risks by not buying directly from Cattman (not getting the same quality, etc.)???

Any help would be appreciated before I spend $600+ dollars! Thanks...

i have the Y pipe, the cat back, and the strut bar. i didnt put the exuast components on yet, but lookin at them they look like excellent quality to me. good welds, and mostly everyone on this site who has Cattman stuff is more than please. the build quality of the strut bar is excellent as well. worth the money spent.

i got mine from SCO. i dont see a difference in getting it from them or Cattman or custommaxima. its all the same stuff. SCO has the 5% discount for ORG members, and back when i ordered, they had free shipping. but im sure 95% of the responses you will get will be positive.

Hold off a few days on the exhaust. I will have pics and sounds of my Mossy exhaust. Greg Vogel of Mossy Nissan told me he can set up a group deal on his exhaust for the .org guys. My exhaust is supposed to arrive tomorrow.

I've seen and heard most of the exhaust products. I've owned warp speed bpipe, and now cattman full cattback for my max.

You cannot go wrong, i haven't seen this mossy exhaust, but remembering the exhaust is mostly about build quality and being stainless (no real major gains here) cattman is definatly worth all of the credit it gets here.

You really can't discourage him from going with it, it's an awesome setup, and is grade a quality. It's definatly not the cheapest, is price is the concern think about another setup...

Oh yea, and buying direct from cattman is fine, for the 30 dollar loss if thats what it is, its not much when considering you can go to straight to brian with any concerns about payment or whatever, he is a well liked and respected member here so you will get to deal with him personally. I purchased my setup from another vendor myself, and he still helped me out and answered questions anyways...

You wouldn't happen to know where I can pick up the Cattman FSTB for '02/03? Brian doesn't even have an estimate on when he'll have more, and I can't find anyone with 'em in stock.

i wont sleep on the mossy exhaust, let's see what it looks like.

When i went with my setup, it was the best i could see amongst the options i was given. Yea it cost me alot, but in the scheme of things, comparing to other exhausts (like what the Z guys gotta deal with) it's kinda pay for what u get... yet then again, a sweet group deal is always enticing.

Here are a few pics of my Cattman axle-back. Purchased mine used from another .org member, and I was quite pleased with the build quality/welds. I welded for Honda Mnfg at the motorcycle plant on the final weld line, so I know what to look for in that regard.

www.cattman.com works. So does www.cattmanperformance.com

Theyve got a new site coming soon. Youll have to contact Brain directly for most items.

Thanks for posting that side-by-side pic of the rear sections SEmy. Now I think I'll go for the full Cattman catback rather than just the B-pipe.....stock piping looks seriously restricted.

They must have raised their prices since you posted this, because they were the same price when I just checked. (Even though SWA tries to tell you that you're saving $100 by saying MSRP is really $699. Which it might be, but seems funny since you can order it directly from Cattman for that same price.) Shipping might still be cheaper as you said, but I don't know for sure because I didn't look into it that far.

Cattman does run GD's some times on their cattbacks, but it's been a while since their last one. (I know as I've been checking the GD forum practically every day since I was like a week late in trying to get in on the last one.)

Just some food for thought.
