o2 sensors...
I've read about people having to relocate their o2 sensors during certain exhaust modifications.... but if I install a y-pipe and catback on my 3.0, will it require any o2 sensor modding? I've also read that it depends on if your car is Cali or Fed spec, if so, how do I find out? Thanks...
no. cali spec y-pipes utilize only TWO o2 locations; one on secondary arm of the y-pipe and another one on the primarily arm.
The stock front manifold and precat o2's are still in place, even with an aftermarket y-pipe. However, for headers there are only 2 o2 bungs for the front and rear primary o2's and the secondary o2s have to be relocated after a catalyst or else you'll throw a p0420 (bank 1 sensor 2) and p0430 (bank 2 sensor 2) for catalyst inefficiency because the headers take away the precats on the manifolds.
