Mossy exhaust installed pics

I couldn't wait to get rid of the Greddy EVO exhaust, and my Mossy exhaust came in yesterday. I put the exhaust on without any problems in 10 min, changed my plugs to fresh OEM NGK plats I bought from Nissan, and a new MAF. The exhaust sounds sweet, its really quiet and has a awesome sound to it with headers. No raspy noises here, just pure low tone bass. I would have gotten a video of it today, but as when I was putting my exhaust on the car, a tornado touched down 1 mile away from my shop- still didn't stop me from working on my car !

Enjoy.

Its a sleeper I can't wait to remove the Blizzaks off the front end. The exhaust noise is soooo low that I can FINALLY hear my Place Racing CAI, and it sounds just like a 350Z but with more bassy sound to it. At higher RPMs it sounds very mellow and just loud enough to let people know that the Max is cooking No raspy noises here, car runs wonderfull for its age- 104+K miles now.

Hey Mike, just curious... how did the weight of the Mossy compare with the EVO? Just wondering about that... I know Cattman is relatively light, Frankencar is heavy, and the EVO is somewhere in between, although I know your EVO isn't stainless...

Hmm I'm charging the battery right now So most likely I will try to have some clips up tomorrow. My headers are HS ones for a 3.5L, but they fit 3.0Ls just fine- other than the 02 sensor hitting the AC compressor/line. Greddy is bout the same weight as the Cattman, didn't weight it but it felt bout the same when I was holding it up in the air aind removing/installing em today. I always have videos of my car, I like to show how it all runs and sounds.

I posted videos of my EVO with and without the headers a while ago, I deleted the without the headers videos off my webspace, but I still have the videos of the EVO with the headers on there for now. What do you guys think ? Should I add Stillen side skirts to match the Stillen front end ? I ditched the POS ABS lip for the Stillen, just thinking if I should or shouldn't go with the sides.

Here are videos of my Greddy with HS headers, on a 3.0L. They sound diff on a 3.5L but you get the idea. The exhaust got raspier with time. If you want to do a direct comparison, I suggest you save these as I need to remove them in order to put the new stuff up. I only have 15mb of free space on my comcast account. I will try my best to have videos of the new exhaust with headers up tomorrow nite.

It does look god but the similarity with the Cattman setup is very close. It almost looks like they got all their ideas from Cattman. Is the sound quieter than the Cattman setup?

I've heard Cattman on 5.5gen and Mossy on 3.5 Alti. Alti sounded louder than Max to me.

But wont the dual exhaust of the altima really change the sound, when being compared to a maxima?

I like how the b-pipe doesn't have the crimp to clear the cross brace like Warpspeeds b-pipe. Hey, how are you getting by with the Hotshot headers and the secondary O2 sensors? I have mine extended to behind the main cat to get a proper reading, but I see you don't have a main cat either. Did you pay the $700 + shipping or did they give you a deal?

Sorry to post *****, but I'd like to get rid of my secondary O2's also. But, with the Hotshots you have to relocate the secondary's behind the main cat because there are no bungs for them on the Hotshots, only for the primary's. With the O2 simulators you still need to have the secondary's for the heating element. How did you eliminate the secondary's altogether using the simulators?

Mike, looks nice (damn those tips look bigger than I thought they would).....one question - is it just me, or is the muffler/tips angled toward the right? And if so, is this by design? I like the look of the exhaust, but would personally rather have it come straight out, not angle like that....just a thought.

Alright, I'm gonna be making some clips in about 30 min. My friend who has a 02 Max 6spd, has just the Cattman rear section on his car with stock everything else. He wants to hear the exhaust in action and we gonna film it too. It will be in the dark but, ya seen the exhaust, now you just need to hear it.

I spoke to Greg Vogel bout the Group Deal, he said he will give me info about that stuff on Monday. He just left for the National SE-R convention in TX thats happening this weekend, and he won't be back till Monday. He also said hes able to split the exhausts into just B-pipes or rear sections only.

The exhaust comes out perfectly straight, I think its just a illussion in the pictures that its not straight. It sounds wonderfull, I love it. No more worries bout cops or ricers trying to race me.

I run 02 simulator with the 02 sensors zip tied in the engine compartment- I have some pics of that, I will post more pictures later on tonite. Give me about hour n half and there will be vidoes, and pics of the headers.

Paid 20560 dollars out the door for it 4 years ago, brand spanking new with 2 miles on the odometer Add bout good 6-7K dollars in all the mods I performed to it over the last 4 years. Right now its at the state where I love the way it sounds, rides, moves ! But ofcourse there is another 25+WHP hidden in the engine I'm bout to unleash soon.

Thanx for all the comments, I try to keep my car very clean looking- hence never will you see a extreme body kit, or even a OEM factory rear spoiler on it I hope to have my SSR Comps this coming month installed, still trying to decide on what kinda tires I want.

Sorry for the crappy quality, but its hard to film anything at nite, and especially on a bumpy road in an industrial area.

in real life the exhaust sounds even better....blows the evo away, the evo sounded like a rice rocket lol and was so loud it was hard to talk inside of the car when driving, with the Ca.... i mean Mossy even with the headers the noise is very low inside of the cabin, you can talk to your passangers in a normal tone...
looks alot better too
btw thats my 5.5 gen in the 3rd video, i have 1/2 of PRI CAI/UR pulley/ and cattman axle back..

Wait for the GD prices, it might cost less than what I got it for. I can't disclose my price as of yet. Let me just say it was 100+/- bux less than what Cattman wanted for it. Videos don't do the car justice. It sounds great, its just as quiet with the headers as it is without them- atleast thats what I think. It gives it a nice classy tone.

I am gonna see what I can do as far as a Nissan meet in the next couple of weekends. Gonna talk to some of the other Nissan forum members and see what they wanna do. I have to work tomorrow so I can't go to Great Lakes, plus I don't drag race. Great lakes always had crappy track prep, I remember last time I was there was maybe like 4 years ago with my Sentra.
