Tranny or what????

ok i dont know that much about transmissions or what but it seems like mines btw limbo and hell//when i rev the car i hear this humming/buzzing sound and i can engage reverse or first gear my car starts off from 2nd gear (auto by the way) and once the power band starts kicks in or im at 60 the car drives smoothly wats up here and i just got the tranny oil changed in december so gurus need help this is my only form of transportation

I think your transmission is starting in 3rd gear if you powerband isn't until 60mph. It sounds to me like your transmission went into a 'safe' mode.

I hope you got a warranty with that tranny in december. This can be fixed by a rebuild.

i mean what could cause it i tried today and the tranny is trying to move the car while its still in park and also its trying to move forward in reverse but and the reason i know i have 2nd is i can put it in 2 and the will move but in 1 notin at all and since it was a tranny oil change do yu think the nissan dealership would take responsibility for it and the milage on the car 208+

you defenitely need a rebuild, when you're missing gears like I was, there's no remedy.

ok this is really wierd i just dropped the car off at the mechanic to take a look at it and the damn thing starts working do i know something is wrong and its telling me that only now i have a little more time to get ready for it

well i just decided ill just replace the tranny dont really trust anyone down here on a rebuild and also its cheaper
