The cloth portion of the door panel is actually glued on , unlike the leather, the panel is an insert.

I have a door panel I need to convert from cloth to leather...so is the cloth insert salvagable or no after I remove it? The leather one is an insert and not glued?

the cloth is glued, that glue is had to get off the pannel as well, as far as removing it, just rip off the cloth it comes off pretty easy.

The cloth will be salvagable pending how it comes off. I did a leather conversion with the Katskins. I didn't like the panel inset they had compared to the factory and it looked like it was going to be tough to glue on. I ended up just swapping out the door panels.

Yes, the factory leather is installed as an insert. The cloth is glued...

Taking off a door panel is a 2 minute job so might as well take off the whole panel and see what you can do.
