Some1 offered me $7500 should i take it

One of my friends offered me $7500 for my car with everything that it has on it. I was just wondering if i should take up this offer and sell my car and go looking for another 4th gen but 5spd this time with the black interior. Just asking what you guys would do in this situation.

From what you cant see in the pics, it has almost 99k miles, cone air filter with maf adaptar, the viper 791xv 2 way remstart, strut bar and the interior is overall in good condition and the code i have is the 0505 code so everythings running fine. Its an auto Gle with the tan interior stock bose. Just looking on what you guys think i should do. Thanks

Sounds like a good deal to me. I'de look for another car first. If you find the 5spd you want then sell it to him.

Without a doubt...go for it! Two weeks ago, I paid $6300 for my 99 GXE with 102k, even tho its a GXE the 2 years makes up for the price difference. The mods arent that serious... its definitely worth it. Drop the price a bit and take the rims...theyre H-O-T

NEVER SELL A CAR TO FRIENDS OR FAMILY! If(when) something goes wrong with the car you will never hear the end of it. Plus you won't be friends anymore after they find out what the car is actully worth.

Well, I guess it can't be a good friend if you plan on selling it for that much. Go for it. Just make sure they know that the car is good condition now, and that you don't want to hear sh*t if any happens to the car.

I'd take his offer and run with it. A car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm sure those Murano wheels/tires weren't just $10 at walmart either. As Pearl99gxe said, be cautious about selling to friends tho. If things start breaking down not too far in the future you might catch he** for it and have it strain the friendship. But that would depend on how mature your friend is.

Personally I'd take the offer and go look for a 5spd. You probably won't find one right away tho, so be prepared for living life sans wheels while you look.

Thanks for the options on this. Nah i did not lie to the kid he has been in the car with me and likes it alot. So he offered me that much with everything. Ill let him have the rims since i would be looking for the se rims although if i get a 95/96 ill have to get new rims. Hes not really a friend like i only know him through baseball since we play on the same team and i dont really hang out with him but im sure my car would hold up for awhile longer. Thanks again on the input.
Tom

I was going to say exactly what others have said: don't deal with friends or family. However, since you said he's just an acquaintance, go for it.

That's good advice. The price sounds really high, it'd get maybe 5500 wholesale, probably less. Is this an acquaintance or real friend? There's already a code that was thrown. What happens if this dude buys the car and decides to go on kbb or edmunds? He's probably gonna get upset.

Then to the latter part of your response, caveat emptor. Good thinking. If you need the money, maybe sell it. If you don't need the money and care about integrity/reputation, don't sell it. Easier said than done, eh?

I did that once, 2 days later the car had problems. I end up buying it back and selling it and taking a big loss.
