Exedy Clutch

Exedy Clutch

Im thinking about buying a exedy Stage 2, anyone ever used this, just wondering what u guys think.

My stage 1 has been fine. There have been some (at least one) problems with them. If I had to do it over again I'd probably just go for OEM non key value. Why stage 2? Unless you're going FI that is definitely not neccessary...even stage 1 is probably kinda overkill.

I will be runing a 75 wet shot, and plan on going turbo or supercharged soon.

i think there are some fake exedy clutches going around, you never can tell with ebay.

yeah the way u can tell, is check the part number and refference it against exedy's website

The fakes would dupe the part numbers. Don't try to save a few bucks on such an important part, get it from a legitimate authorized dealer. Check with Exedy if you are unsure.

I know for a fact mine wasnt fake, but it's defect was its only problem.

i bought my exedy stage 1 from ebay....sellers name was like GRIPFORCE.....they are AUTHENTIC AUTHORIZED dealer of exedy products....ive had my clutch in for about 5000 miles with no problems....overall works really well....bought it for $280

ACT is a bad *** clutch. If you have the cash go nab one of those up.

Unless you're really hard on it you should be able to count on 100K. I've heard of clutchs lasting over 200K, though I'm not sure that I've ever heard that about a max or not.

that is too long for me to wait casue my clutch only has 42kon it but i want a act clutch.

You have the 3.5 don't you? Are you still using a 4th gen clutch? It probably wouldn't last as long .

Given all the work you've done I expect you could manage a clutch job and the clutch is the cheap part (the labor is expensive) so just put in what you'll be happy with.

no 2k2 clutch. if i do upgrade, i will go with act and fidenza flywheel. dont know what stage act clutch though yet.
