My max feels like its dying.. help

I have a couple of problems going on with my maxima. It's really frustrating driving it and I hate driving now because of it. Here's a list of whats going on.

The idle is really rough. The RPMs like to fluctuate. The whole car pretty much shakes. I think, that when the RPMs dip and rise, i see the mileage backlight dim a little bit so it might be an electrical problem, I don't know?

When driving, its very hesitant, probably related to the first problem. My check engine light is on, but I haven't had the time to check the codes. If I drive over 3k RPM, the check engine light blinks a couple of times, which is really scary.

When going in reverse, sometimes i hear sort of a clanking sound coming from the passenger side of the car. At first I thought it was the transmission but thats on the driver side. The sound is only there sometimes, but a lot of times it is there. It almost sounds if something is knocking on the fender or something.

Okay, those are the problems. Here are some of the things done to the car recently:

New spark plugs
New O2 Sensor on Y-pipe (Stripped so i needed a new one)
New Power Steering Belt
4 New Tires
2 Coils replaced
Cleaned the Throttle Body

And at the moment I think thats it. Pretty soon, I'm going to part my y and b pipes (with resonator). There is a slight leak coming from my Y-pipe, but I doubt its the cause of this. I've had my piping in for almost 2 years so I doubt thats the reason. I really need help guys. Thanks

don't the 99's have bad coil packs? I'd check those..the things holding the spark plugs I think. Those go bad from what I've read on here, specifically 99's.

you said you've replaced 2 packs already... well, time to do 4 more, that sounds like bad packs (except for the reverse thing) so id replace them. i have no idea what is causing your clunking in reverse.

You don't have to shoot in the dark when the ecu is yelling at you to check it out, check your codes first then go from there. It'll be easier.
