car starting very erratic nowadays

so the weather is a lot nicer now and i never have to crank more than "woot-toot-toot" [can't imitate the cranking sound] ANYWAY, it's very intermittent, but sometimes I'll go and crank the car and the car will almost choke midway cranking. other times, the car won't even crank, but it's an instantaneous action. I turn the key and the engine is on like i turned a switch. Also when I move the shifter to R, I get a high pitched humming noise that goes for like 3 seconds and then gradually gets quieter and fades away.

geez i just buy a KS and now something else is weird.

I hate the exact same two problems. Literally, exact.
