HP Evo fitment on 4th gen

I've searched alot of threads about these rims and so far I have not found a definitive answer for my question:

Can the HP Evos 18x8 be fitted on a 4th gen with the HP center caps by modifying the dust caps or the HP center caps themselves and NOT using spacers front and rear?

If not then would 18x8.5 or 18x9 fit without using spacers?

Someone please help me out.

Thanks

If 19s can fit easily snug on an I30 I'm sure 18s can too.

i couldn't get the centercaps on the front, you could try to mod them but 38mm offset 18x8 front centercaps wont go on back ones will

Thats what I wanted to know. Can you somehow mod the centercaps or dustcaps on the hub to get the centercaps on the fronts as well? Has anyone done that?

If not then would 18x8.5 or 18x9 be able to accomodate the centercaps without having rubbing or clearance issues on the 4th gen? Anyone running 18x8.5 or 18x9 HP evos front and back?

I really dont want to use spacers and I really want to use the centercaps.

Thanks guys.

I have hp evo's on my max, dont have pics yet but i had to use spacers but when i went to buy them the guy said you can hammer in the back dust caps that are on the rotors but for the front you have to unscrew the bolt or whatever it is. He said they dont do anything anyway. IM gonna look into this a little more and maybe try it some day.

Nizmo, PM Big_H. He is a sponsor on the .org and is on the Canadian forum. He's sold as many of these wheels as any other company for the Max. He will give you the definitive answer you are looking for.

I have the same problem with my ADR Fuel 18x7.5 38mm wheels. The rear wheel center caps can fit if and only if I remove the rear dustcaps. The front of the 4th gen doesnt have a dustcap, but has long bolt that sticks out too far to allow you to put the center cap on without spacers.

So Kingrukus are you using spacers or did you remove the bolt like Xopton said? Did you try modding the centercap itself?

Jumbo, thanx for the help I'll PM Big_h

Im using 3mm spacers in the rear and running without the rear dustcap. I am still able to use the wheel's centercap in the rear too. Infront I cannot use the wheel's center cap because of the bolt. No spacers infront and I am not removing the bolt.
