Depends on whether or not you are looking at a Random Orbital. If you are looking at a random orbital, here are the suggestions:

Porter Cable 7424/7336
DeWalt (Don't know the exact model #)
Cyclo Polisher

But if you want a rotary.......

Vector Polisher
DeWalt DW849
Metabo
Makita 9227
Chicago Pneumatic
Porter Cable 7428

But bear in mind, if you don't have experience with a rotary, stick with a RO polisher.

Once you get the polisher, you would need to get the following:

- Flexible Backing Plate
- Foam Pads

For example, I have a PC 7336 with 2 Sonus Backing Plates (5" and 4") as well as 6.5" Sonus DAS Pads (Soon to acquire Sonus SFX Pads) and 4" Sonus SFX Spot Pads for plastic and glass polishing as well as spot scratch removal.

it's a good tool...BUT unless you know what you're doing you might want to opt for the porter cable orbital.

max_speed: If you have a Lowe's in your area, you can get one there for $109. Other places to get one would be:

www.coastaltool.com
www.internationaltool.com

However, if you want a kit with everything (PC, pads, backing plate), there is a Sonus DAS polisher kit for $200 at www.autopia-carcare.com

Info: http://store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/clink...+pc-7424.html+

Yes. It comes with the Porter Cable 7424, Pads (cutting, Polishing, fine Polishing) and the flexible backing plate. The only thing you'd need after that is the polish of your choice.

PrinzII just helped me in making my selection too. I got the PC 7424 from Amazon. When I bought it, it was $119.99 then I had them price match it some where on the web (don't remember the site) for $109.99. Amazon has "Lowest Price Gaurantee" so I got mine for $107.91. I then purchased the SONUS DAS Pad Kit from Autopia-CarCare.com.

I'm waiting on everything to arrive.
