3rd gen turbo question

Ok I need a 3rd gen DO IT YOURSELF turbo guy to give me answers to a few questions:

where did you get your downpipes, etc etc etc made?
are you selling parts from your turbo kit?

I need a detailed write up on where 2 get the parts ill need 2 tubro my se

Local shops should be able to help you out with the piping, etc. If you plan on doing the pipes yourself, you can get the mandrel bends from various places online. I bought mine from Jegs, they were very reasonably priced. My only complaint is that the bends were a slightly different radius than the straight sections, so they didnt line up perfectly. Most of the other parts can be found off of ebay. Go here for a walbro fuel pump, they seemed to have the best price that I found. Other than that, just do a search on google for the stuff you need.

you have to make every piece...unless you want to have a shop bend it for you.

Listen, piping is somethig you dont want to go cheap with, im having a guy fabricate my piping right now, all stainless steel, and its gonna be about 1800, btw if your doing a custom setup, spend more money the first tiem and do it right, its worth it in the end, i was complaining about how expensive pfi kit was at 4499, but when i started this custom kit i just realized that this project is gonna cost me around 6500-7000, so look into spending some money and doing ti right the first time.

yeah exactly.... I used to think that was outrageous for a turbo kit, but when its all said and done, ill be way over that mark.

for a brand new t4/60-1 gaerett turbo and a used jwt ecu and some 4day old used 555 injectos i paid 1525 alone. And those are used minus the turbo, brand new, i dont wanna think about.......ill get even more depressed. And btw that 6500-7000 is with a lot of used parts and not counting the new clutch+install your gonna have to get if your boosting more than 6 psi.

The piping I'm getting done by a shop, I was talking about the manifold and down piping stuff.

well right now my max is at a speed shop they are going 2 add wisco pistons and get the compression down.
he said to get the turbo piping and stuff and bring it 2 him, he'll recommend the best turbo to use since they are wel experienced with turbo tuning and stuff in NYC.

for the bigger bore and wisco pistons I'm paying $1500

What compression are you taking it down to? How much boost do you plan on running? No one sells a manifold or anything for our cars, everything has to be custom made. What most people do, including me, is to run pipes from the stock manifolds up to the turbo. The stock manifolds flow pretty well.
