Only post if you have ECU/MEVI....

Sorry if it's a repost. I just want to know about how many people hear have some kind of ECU/MEVI setup on the 4th gen maxima's. Any kind of upgraded ecu's count and any variable intake manifold's count.

Setup your post like this:

1 - What kind of ECU, specs, rev limiter, price you paid, where purchased, etc..

2 - MEVI?, 00/01 manifold? or any other kind of manifold (if there are any)

3 - List all other n/a modifications if any

4 - Your top 3 all motor track TIMESLIPS not just 1/4 mile time. (type N/A if you never raced) ALL MOTOR NO N20!

Thanks!

1. ECU was a Gfroce with stock rev limit. IT was borrowed.

2. MEVI

3. Stillen short ram intake, Ypipe, greddy sp1 cat back.

4. None... I did pull 201whp on the dyno though..

Do you havea dyno sheet to post?
Just curious to see what rpm you topped off at?
This was after your dyno of 193whp right?
What did you do different to gain the extra 8 hp over your last dyno?

this is just an uncorrected dyno.. I could have easily picked up more HP, by using a longer red line, upd, afc, and a higflow cat, or test pipe.

Nice numbers.
I havent dynoed with my JWT, but with my G force and all my current mods, I couldnt break 200 or really get too close to it.
I was right at 187
Mods were the following
G force ecu
MEVI
UR UDP
Budget Y
straight pipe
Apexi WS catback
Stillen Flywheel
Maybe when I go back to dyno with the JWT, i'll pull the 18's off and run the steelies.

Yup... a very small V6... guess it's only Mazda who have made 'em smaller in a production car... the 1,8 V6 in the MX3.

The VQ for the 4th gen Max came in three different versions around the world:

VQ20DE
VQ25DE
VQ30DE

JWT ECU with 7k rev limit. MEVI.

paid $590ish from avalon racing for the JWT ECU. and $500 for the MEVI a while back.

other NA mods. y-pipe, intake, UDP.

ran 14.3's all day long. best being a 14.302 @ 99.79 with a low 2.2 60'.

i have since moved on from the NA program, but still have the JWT ECU (boost program) and still ahve the MEVI.

here is the graph of my best dyno pull NA...200.98hp / 197.73 tq

just a question.... I was under the impression that there was no aftermarket ECU for the '99. Is this still the case?

1 - Technosquare ECU with Upgraded A/F Maps and 7100 RPM Rev Limit. Price is confidential.

2 - MEVI in which mine should be called JVI because it came straight from Japan on a cargo ship.

3 - Budget Y Pipe, Tranny cooler, Can Am 220 amp alternator with smaller pulley, NGK V-power copper plugs, staight through muffler with stock catback, hacked stock airbox with resonator.

4 - last time slip was from my stock run. I have no time slips at this point with all installed mods.
