Simple q, but no straight answer - where is the main fuse located?

Before I go out and buy a new starter, where is the main fuse/main fuse link located? It was suggested I look there to find a problem, and I want to make sure that I exhaust all possibities before spending today in driving to a junkyard and buying a starter. Please help.

First I'm gonna say WTF? The fusible link box is the one with the battery fuse in it, the battery is fusible link A, the big one in the middle. Not sure how that's gonna help you though. If you take that battery out all power will be lost right? The one under the hood, on the driver's side, in front of the headlight. There they already told you you just didn't know what you were looking for yourself.
