Apexi VAFCII wiring

Does anybody have the wiring color designation for the Apexi VAFCII. I just got a used one and I need to know what each wire is for to install it. I already saw the wiring for the AFC, but the VAFII has the wire to activate the VTEC ( i plan to use to activate my MEVI) and a wire for the Konck sensor. And there is a few unused wires too. I tried to PM my seller but he has not responded yet.

Thanks,

Eric

A S-AFCII has a kncok sensor wire also. I imagine it is the exact same way plus tapping another wire for an rpm signal.

Sorry man, I thought I'd sent you a PM. The pink wire, IIRC, is for the VTEC activation. It's a 12V out. I had it wired directly to the vacuum switch on the manifold. No relays. The VAFCII doesn't have a hook up for the KS. The purple wire is VTEC associated on it. I've been trying to find the wiring booklet cause it's got all my little notes in it but haven't had any luck.

Just download the .pdf off apexi website. Shouldn't need the purple wire, it's for the VTEC solenoid input to ECU which you don't have.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll have too wait to get the VAFCII installed. I have to get my car running right first. I'm still getting the P0171 code.

I'll download thepdf file fro Apexi

I got the VAFCII installed last Friday but I have a question. Does it have the wire for the O2 sensor? What are the light blue and dark blue wires for? Does anybody have the wiring schematics for the VAFCII? The only thing Apexi had on their website was the operating/set up manual for the VAFCII.

I still have the PO171 code and everything is still set to flat setting on the VAFCII. I'll fine tune it after getting rid of the code. I have it set to open the MEVI at 5400 rpm.

Wiring schematics? The .pdf instructions/setup should have what each wire color is. Not at home so I can't say off hand what color is what but it's in the .pdf

Why are you opening the MEVI so late? Thought the DE-K VI was around 5200 and the MEVI was around 4600? You dyno tune yet?

No dyno tune yet. I set the MEVI at a very conservative 5400 rpm point due to the fact I still have the P0171 code which means "Fuel INJ Sys Right bank:lean"

I've located a website that had the installation manual available in .pdf file but it was not in the Apexi website.

Thanks Eric

You've got it backwards.

the de-k does open at 5200. the 3.5 manifold opens more towards 4000. i am not sure when the mevi typically opens because i do not have one but i thought most were setting their rpm switches to around 5000.

Are you sure? Everything i've read, including driving my brother's '01 SE leads me to believe it opens before 5000 RPM. Maybe i'm wrong. The ideal MEVI opening is around 5300 RPM.

have his dynoed and it will show up. my first dyno should still be in the dyno forum as well as a few others showing the 5200 crossover.

I have been playing around the setting to open and close the MEVI, right now i have it open at 5000 rpm and closes at 4800 rpm. This setting so far gave the best butt noticeable difference. I still have to figure out what is causing my check engine light to go on since car is running good. I checked my sparkplugs and they look fine, no signs of detonation or leaning. I'm beginning to think i might have a short on my O2 sensor wires.
