Tein Coilovers: Opinions?

I need a good set of coilovers but don't wanna spend the money on JICs. I know the D2s have all those problems, so I'm hoping someone has the Tein's on their 4th gen. If so, do you like them? Give me your all-around opinions about them. Thanks guys

tein coilovers ride like a dreams and handles like a dream. I don't have em but a friend of mine on the .org does. we cut at 90 degree turn at like 50+ all i have to say is WOW. not a single churp from the tires.

yup, and that friend is me, i love them, very comfortable, even though dampening is non-adjustable, tein trully found the sweet spot for these coilovers. most performance along with comfort. i dont regret getting these at all, i just wish i had went with these in the first place.

Where is the cheapest/best place to order the Tein's from?

Also, you can't adjust the stiffness?

i love my teins. s-turns are so amazing now. floatyness is gone. and i dont really think you need adjustable dampening unless you plan on opening your hood an jumping in the trunk everytime u decide to change settings.

I love mine. I wouldn't have the car any other way. I got them straight off when I got rid of the stock suspension, so I never had springs and struts or anything, although everyone that has ridden with me agrees that they feel really good. You don't need to adjust them, because they are set at the optimal damping for the spring rate

I've had mine for about three weeks, very nice ride, it did settle a little more, so i've got to readjust them. Remember that you will have to drill them bigger so the bolts will work. I had ground controls with agx's, so its a huge difference in ride quality.

ok, you have the drill the hole bigger where the bottom of the strut holds on to the arm. For some reason tein did not make that whole the right size.
i emailed them, and they gave me some bs, which did not make me very happy, from a company like that to just lie. other than that, i love my coilovers. i have had them for about an year now. no problems.

Problems with fitment as well as rattling noises and stuff..theres an ongoing thread in the 5th gen forum about these..lots of problems with clanking noises and rubbing and stuff like that..i think like 95% of people who have them are having these problems

dont like the bigger rotors. i dont like the way the calipers only grip a certain amount of the rotors and it will look pretty funny that way IMO.

guys, im getting the ksports, and i have talked to many ksport dealers, and even the owner of ksport usa, so far they say that they havnt heard of any noise problems with them. I have put my order through already, and am just waiting on their reply. There is a company called millenium motorsports in NY that are selling them for 700 shipped. Although the thread has been deleted since a sponser is trying to set up a GD i have some information. The 700 shipped price is only untill the end of april though.. so yea.. its going to be too late when i get my ksports... hrmm... well either way, there are many options out there, i just dont like the idea of non adjustable dampening...

honestly, i when i had other adjustable shocks, i never really changed my settings. How many times do you really change the settings of your car?

Tein is a good company, even though they are not dampening adjustable, they made these coilovers to drop low and have a such great comfortability while driving.
oh....and did i mention that these outperform any spring and shock combo i have had in the past?

Supposedly without problems is all they are right now. I hope you take the initiative to buy these. If you do, make sure you give us a full review about a month after installation!
