about to buy B&M sts....recommendations?

i have finally decided on buying a B&M short throw shifter.....i was checking out the COURTESY sts but i havwe found out that they dont make them anymore so i think i have made my chocie on the B&M....

any ideas on where i should buy it at? i have been thinking southwest autoworks.....

anyone have problems with their B&M?

do i need to change out my gear oil to something synthetic? i recently replaced my clutch so i was plannin on keeping the same geair oil in therre???

would it be too notchy if i dont replace the oil with somehting synthetic?

the reason why i dont wanna go synthetic is cuz im worried bout leakage

I love my B&M, not notchy at all and I haven't changed my fluid.

No problems whatsoever.. though my tranny only has 75k on it, so I can't say that a higher mileage car or one that has taken more abuse then mine will be the same.

But my car, has no problem with B&M and it's butter smooth.. love it!

IMO, you should just go with the Stillen shifter. It keeps the **** at a good height, yet still has short precise throws.

How tall are all you guys? Any comments on how far forward the shifter sits and is it uncomfortable?

Anyone of shorter stature, maybe 5'7" per say, have any comments about it?

My girlfriend is 5' even, although she has to have the seat up almost all the way to reach the pedals she can shift just fine...

i was also considering getting a b&m shifter. how does it compare to the sts from custom enterprise.

The CM shifter touches the heatshield for the cat and comes in physical contact with the upper part of the shifter trim (I witnessed this in person first handedly).

After searching and reading over 20 threads about STS's, I can say the B&M has about 1cm of clearance between the shifter stick and the upper part of the shifter trim.

I'm leaning towards b&m, but my only concern is that it sits farther forward compared to the stock shifter, so I don't know if it will be uncomfortable.

By the way, has anyone had any experiences with the TWM STS?
