sway bar & trut bar

Hey guys, I plan on gettin a cattmann progress rear anti-roll bar... [url]http://www.customenterprise.com/viewer/shop/templates/template.1.product.asd/scspid/645/vts/design017 and a custom enterprise front strut bar...
http://www.customenterprise.com/view.../vts/design017
I wanted to know... are they legit? I read a forum earlier today about how the strut bar did some damage--> http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=211145 . So should I just forget it? Would stillen be a better choice?
Thanks

A rear sway (anti-roll) bar will give a much better handling improvement than a front strut bar. As far as the front strut bar goes, you can go with any brand. They will all perform about the same. It's just personal preference on how they look. I have a generic ebay strut bar and it has no problems hitting/breaking/touching anything in the engine bay.

Be careful what you buy... I bought a front strut tower bar (generic one from the Paradox group buy) and it hits a "growth" on my shock tower. It's because I'm a 5 spd though. I looked at my buddy's car, who has an auto (same year as mine), and the "growth" on his shock tower is smaller and farther over, so the bar would clear and fit nicely. See pic.

I have a progress sway bar, I could definitely tell the difference. The only difference I've felt with a front strut brace though was the front of my car felt a little sturdier when driving in very wet road conditions.

Is a rear sway bar that everyone has the same thing as the Rear Strut Bar that is shown in the How-Tos .... I thought it goes under the body, but the How-To says you have to cut your car. I am hoping they are different because I want a sway bar.

I don't think it's just your car, it happened to my auto SE too. My solution was filing a little bit off the holes inthe strut bar brackets to make it work.

What bar do you have? What year car? I wish I could file a little of the strut bar...but I would have to cut alot for it to clear. I may buzz the unnecessary growth...or just get a different bar; not sure yet.

I think its a 99 thing. I bought a Courtesy Nissan strut bar and they had 99-200 specific ones. A little notch is cut out to fit with the bump.

I took a metal saw and removed that useless peice of metal to get my FTSB to fit.

I got a Question about the Rear Upper Strut Bar. I know Stillen's is all aluminum, but can it get damaged or bent at all? It sits pretty low to the trunk and I have my book bag, laptop, and (Laugh all you want ... mommy still packs it) the old lunch box and I am afraid, especially because of the book bag, that it will get damaged or bent. Any chance of it because the old co-worker said don't even worry about it, but I just wanted a second opinion.

If you buy a stillen bar it tells you to bend the EVAP (and any other lines that could touch the bar out of the way).

Also stillens bar is nothing but looks.

there is no way a book bag is gunna hurt a RSTB. Unless jacky chan and owen wilson pee on it and uses it to bend the bar.
I have had 2 and they are both mint.

I'm too lazy to read the whole thread so this may have been mentioned already, but I don't believe we ('95s) have that valve or whatever they are talking about the FSTB damaging (looks like mzmtg mentions the same thing in that thread). The only thing my ebay FSTB hits is a hose (going to the IACV if memory serves) and the sound/heat insulation on the hood.
