quick one about stillen intake + summer heat

its turning into summer quick here and im thinking about changing back to my stock intake. im reading a few things about stillens short ram vs cold air intakes and it says a CAI will draw about 20+ and the stillen 90+, in degrees. its been mentioned somewhere that it also contributes to knocking and pre-igniting etc. because of the type of design or whatever, im wondering if this thing is only good for the cooler months..it would make sense but only if what im thinking is true. i guess i just want to ask other people who have experience with the same setup what theyve done? thx

A true CAI (through the fender) or stock is the only way to go.
All the other intakes rob throttle response. Thats especially noticed with automatic trannys.

i had 4 different intake setup before... CAI robs a lot of throttle response. but now i am running bomz short ram w/ JWT filter and throttle response is a lot better than CAI setup. although i feel less power at lower-end rpm, but throttle response is definetly there.
