Supercharged forum has some good stickies on what you will need to go FI. Depends how much boost you plan to run. The basic Stillen SC kit comes with a fuel management unit that raises fuel pressure as boost rises. Stock VQ internals seem to hold up very well.

FI is fairly complicated and expensive. Cut your teeth on the "basic" mods first.

Check the advanced performance section for superchargers/turbos. I'm sure you'll find alot more info there.

if your going FI, then almost for sure your going to need a new fuel pump and bigger injectors, i think the stock injectors are 240cc, thats not big enough to flow much fuel with FI and same with the fuel pump. a lot of people running FI are using the 300ZX twin turbo injectors which are 370cc and also the MAF as our stock MAF can handle somewhere near 300 or so hp...not sure....just a guesstimate.

I would not boost on the stock fuel pump alone period

Stock injectors are good to around 250-260 whp with the use of an FMU

Stock MAF is good to around 300whp

Stock TB is not really limited to any power amount, not in the way injectors and MAF are.

You can have a set up on stock injectors and MAF but you will be very limited
