Marbles-in-a-can noise is gone
Some of you may remember a few months back when I mentioned that it looked like I was headed for another blower bearing job. This was when I tried to take off the 3.33" pulley without using the pulley puller. After I bought the puller and swapped in the 3.125" pulley I encounted that unheathly noise which is a sign of bearing wear. Everytime I was at a stop light I had to shift into neutral because at idle the rpms were dipping below 700 and the infernal noise would come on.
Well, a week ago when I didn't shift I noticed that the noise hadn't returned at all! My rpms are even and at roughly 650 rpm at idle at a stop light and it sounds normal now. Last month I cleaned out the IACV but that hadn't fixed the erratic dips and rises in rpm right away. I'm wondering if its because the temperature is getting warmer. Its starting to feel very summery here in April.
Any thoughts?

Looking back at my old threads I've noticed that I installed the 3.125" pulley and put in the Budget B pipe last October but on different weekends. Do you suppose its the ecu relearning? I kind of doubt that as I don't think it would take that long to relearn in April.
