Hmm... well I plan on purchasing a pair of the red/clear '95-'96 tails first, but if that's possible then definitely.

$220 shipped for led taillights, send me your stock taillights, or I can send you everything you need to simply put in your taillights if you want to opem them up yourself.

If we send you our stock tails (red/orange), will you being doing the LED mod and return them (red/clear)? just wanted to clear up the issue.

no write up? 220 sounds like a good deal, considering how sweet that looks. I guess i'd have to see it on a 95 though.

Yeah, that would be sweet. I'd DEF buy a pair if that was the case.

Those look really nice. in some pics there are 4 rows of LEDs and in a couple there are only 2 rows...is that normal?

I dont know were you got the fact that I can make 95-96 maximas red clears, but I cant, as for pics for 95-96 I will get them very soon, I have to make a general design, then see if you all like it, then use that as my permanant design for the 95-96 taillights. PM me anyone who is interested, but is still wondering how this works or what have you.

When the lights are off during the day, two lines light up when you apply brakes.
At night when the headlights are on, 3 lines glow and when you brake all 5 of them light up.
If you have a spoiler, it it looks even better.
Basically lines are the same as spoiler, but just shorter. Pictures don't do its judgement.

So is that just LEDs mounted in PCB? What size resistor are you using?

Yes leds mounted in boards, I use 180ohm resistors on the boards, thanks for all the nice feedback about my taillight work. The real props goes to CKOTuHA for buying them and making this all possible!

Aren't you worried about the LED's burning out faster with the 180 ohm resistors? If you use the OHM's law calculation and calculations for resistors the optimal this resistors used would be a 1/4 watt 430-560ohm resistor. I"m just curious.

Well first off certain leds need certain resistance, I wired these leds in a series, that might be somthing you didn't factor in, when I did the calculations for what resistance to use, I factored in the fact that it was on a 13.5v connection, they are wired in series, and every 5 leds get a 180ohm resistor, these are possibly things you didn't factor in.

Why not factor in the needed resistance for your series row, then use ONE resistor for the whole row?

Thats what I did, sorry if what I had said above didn't make any sence, but yes this is what I do one 180ohm resistor per series row...

That makes more sense. I guess the resistance getting through each LED all adds up.
