Upgrade from 3 8w6's to single 8w7?

I've been debating about changing out my sub setup from my current 3 JL Audio 8w6's to a single 8w7. I'd kind of like to have a bit more of my trunk space back and I've been quite pleased with the SQ and performance of my 8" subs. I am running my 3 8's and would also be running the 8w7 with my MTX Thunder 2160 which bridges out to 425 watts. Just wanted to see what some of you guys think. I am only considering JL Audio products, so other brand suggestions aren't needed, but thanks. If I make the decision to change my setup, my 8's will be up for sale.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe get a single 10W7?? Should take up less space than 3 8"s, and would give u a little more low end than a 8W7.

tough one tim...

i'd go ahead and get the 10w7 and build a nice ported box for it (or sealed if you need more room). shouldn't be too bad of a problem with your box building experience.

I think my current box is about 2.2 cu ft. This isn't really a simple decision as I thought it would have been.
