The wastegate outlet you can either vent to atmosphere, or pipe back into the turbo downpipe.

If you decide to vent it (many do), make sure the hot exhaust discharge is not going to cause harm, you may need to fit a small downpipe for the wastegate discharge.

If you decide to pipe it back into the exhaust (turbo downpipe), keep in mind the many heat cycles (from full throttle and cruising) and heat differences in the different pipes often lead to cracking.

As far as spring, keep in mind a boost controller can increase boost, but not go lower than your spring setting. I ran a 10-12psi spring and ran as much as 20psi from it by using a boost controller.

Also, you can gain a little spool by using an electronic boost controller (keeping the gate closed longer).

So I can use the spring that come with the wastegate and use the greddy type S boost controller to controll the boost(how much do you think the wastegate spring can handle before I need to change it out),and there's also the GAIN controller on the boost controller, how does that one work?there's 2 nipple came with the wastegate, which one go to which???Thanx alot Hal.

So Mike you didn't make a pipe for your dump pipe? You just leave it open like that, wouldn't the water will damage the inside if it rain?

No, I stated that it was a picture without the dump pipe installed. Those pics are from my install and alot of things were not done yet. I have about a 1.5' dump pipe that angles under my tranny.

What bar spring did you get with your wastegate. Remember, you can't run any less boost than the size wastegate spring you have. Make sure you have the fuel management to support that

Hey frank you want me to come over and help. I a off today. The spring in the wastegate is the least amount of boost you can run. So if its a .5 bar spring you are going to run 8 lbs. of boost or more.

Yeah, obttem nipple is the vacuum source - make sure this is the same vacuum source that you're "in" on your boost controller is tapped to. The top nipple will be where your boost controller "out" line is connected to. With the PFI kit - you can leave the wastegate open atmosphere - just make sure you don't have any wiring etc hanging there or you may melt it.

Mike, I didn't know you were running an open wastegate. How loud is it?
