anybody notice more 6th gens lately?

when the 6th gen first came out, i didnt see too many and almost thought of it as a rare car, as time progressed i see more and more 6th gens on the road. at first when i saw the 6th gen for the first time, i was like "ehh" but now as time progressed, i really like it.

my neighbors who are basically a honda family, having a 2004 Honda Accord Sedan and a 2004 Honda Pilot, have just picked up a brand new, gunmetal 2005 Nissan Maxima 3.5SE. looks really big compared to the Honda Accord, and IMO looks way better than the awkward looking Honda Accord (the coupe looks nice tho)

yeah but the 6th gen section doesnt have much. There is many 3 people in there that actually trick out there cars. I would love to see more tricked out 6th gen maximas.

I have seen a lot of new maximas lately though, especially with tints but most of the owners are older so they dont want to hook them up

as time goes on im sure that more and more owners with 6 gens with start modding.

When i first saw the new 6 gen i thought that they were HUGE compared to the older maxs. They looked like big luxury cars, more than a family type sedan. But it seems as the newer gens of maximas come out, nissan has been encorperating more and more luxury in to the sport sedan. Which should be a good combo with that new 3.5 under the hood

here in nyc, there are more 4th gen's than anything else. Back in 02-03, there were so many 5th gen maximas, they were almost catching up to the 4th gens, untill the 6th gen came out, the 5th gens kind of started to fade out for some reason... althought I still see MANYYY 4th gen maximas.

most 6th gens are still under warranty so ppl are reluctant to do any major mods..

because its a relativley new car, theres a severe lack of mods available.. apart from the grille rims and spoiler...

yea mods are slow with these cars.... since the 6th gen got pushed to "luxury" category no one want to touch it...

only time will tell...

I hardly see much in NJ.....I may catch a black or blue one zippin' on the Parkway....I kinda like the fact that I don't see many, makes it kind of rare and it not a "me-too" car......

Nice to get some love from the other Gen. maximas. Makes me wanna stay in the maxima family. I was gonna sell for a Z because of lack of aftermarket support but I figure Il just stick around and get the car paid off in the next year or so. I do wish there were more bodykits because I am not a fan of the stillen kit at all. Also wish we had headers, oh well.

When we first got the car, there were hardly on the road, and many people questioned what it was. Back home in NY i'm still one of the only ones that have a maxima. Everyonce in a while i come across someone that has a mod done but most people i see are older. On average i see about 10 a day, and when i'm driving its like i have radar towards them and can always find them.

I'll bet when the 5th gen came out people were saying the same thing.

I see plenty of 6th gens, only one customized with rims and Trenz grill around here.

I'm seeing more and more here also. In fact, a guy that lives in my building ran out and got one the same color as mine a couple of months ago. I wasn't too happy at the time but hey, imitation is the best form of flattery.

Wow, I hardly ever see another Max. When I do, it's usually a 4th gen, but have been seeing more 6th gens (makes sense, as they've been out for the past 2 1/2 yrs now), but are mostly driven by middle-aged ppl.

Its pretty much an event to see a 5th gen and newer though.
