speedometer problem

My speedo goes to zero while driving, and often stays at zero for several minutes after I start driving. Anyone know what I need to do/replace?

Also the temp gauge suddenly goes to "overheat" and back down intermittently - this just started this last month where the speedo problem is over a year old.

Thanks,

scott

Bad or broken connections in the instrument cluster. I hate troubleshooting electrical problems. If it were my car....I would probably buy a used instrument cluster off eBay cheap and try it out...if it fixes your problem great, sell your old one for parts...if not resell the one your bought.

Good luck,
JB
