It seems like more and more we are seeing post about cars not starting all the time. Here's my story.

When I first bought my car two years ago the guy told me the clutch was really picking about being enganged in order for the car to turn over. I could get it to start just fine. But over the next years it slowly starting getting hard to start. I would turn the key and all the lights would come on but abloslutly nothing. Everyone else couldn't even get it to start. Sometime it would take ten minutes of trying then it would just start no problem. Finally it got to the point of I couldn't ever really start it.
I took it to a shop and they had my car for over a week and did electrical tests and never really found what was going on, they claimed my alarm system was broken and they thought that was the problem. They did a little overriding of the start up sequence and the car started, but it idled roughly, which never happened before.
Now almost a year after I had it fixed it's starting to act up again and nothing happens when I turn the key, now when it does turn over I have to hit the gas so it doesnt stall. After I'm up and running all is good. I'm suppose to clean the throttle body this weekend. But its really weird, even I don't know how I start it sometimes and no one else can start it half the time.
Anyone have this problem or like to discuss this?

I have this problem. It sometimes starts when the clutch is fully down on the ground, but sometimes it doesn't. It normally will work if I let off the clutch slightly and press 'almost' down to the ground. Its never been a big problem for me since it'll start on either the 2nd or 3rd try.
